Bryan Gauthier has been in the wine and hospitality fields since 1990. Mr. Gauthier started his career in a small retail shop in Northern Virginia and worked his way up to assistant manager before overseeing the construction and opening of the chains second location and being its first general manager. He then left to manage a retail wine, beer and spirits shop in Northwest Washington DC. The store not only was a retail operation but also an importation company and distributor in the United States. Mr. Gauthier was the general manager for several years before moving on to the highly competitive steakhouse industry for 9 years, first as a wine manager and eventually becoming an Operating Partner of his own location. He has taught numerous wine classes and hosted and created over 50 wine dinners.
In 2010, Mr. Gauthier felt the need to strike out on his own and go back to his roots in the wine industry of a small retail shop in Northern Virginia. After 6 months of researching and searching for a location Mr. Gauthier settled on Oakton Virginia to open his first shop. Mr. Gauthier oversees the day to day operation of the shop and he along with his staff hand select all of the wines, beers and food items carried in the shop.
Jeff joined OWS in May 2011 when the shop first opened. Jeff's interest in wines focus on European wines and in particular wines from Italy, Spain and Austria. In addition to Jeff's passion for wines he also has a passion for sail boats.
Charlie Gauthier - Sales Associate
After spending his professional career in the automotive world as well as in home remodeling, Charlie likes to spend time at the shop talking with customers about wine. He loves Spanish and American wines and while he really enjoys reds wines every once in a while you can find him picking out a white wine or two.
